Manitou Gold Inc. is engaged in the identification and acquisition of properties prospective for gold and other minerals and metals in Canada. The Company has acquired a 100% interest in 19 mineral claims located in the Townships of Fisher Lake, Garnet Bay (Eagle Lake) and Line Lake, Ontario, known as the Higbee Property. The Higbee Property consists of 19 unpatented mining claims located within the Fisher Lake Area, Garnet Bay Area and Line Lake Area of the Kenora Mining Division. The property is situated 45 kilometers west of Dryden, Ontario. The Company also holds, through Kenwest Mines Limited (Kenwest), a 100% interest in 32 mineral claims and 10 mining licenses located in the District of Kenora, Ontario, known collectively as the Kenwest Property. On June 30, 2009, the Company acquired Kenwest. For the nine months ended 30 September 2010, Manitou Gold Inc. reported no revenues. Net income totaled C$649K. Results are not comparable as the company was incorporated on 8 May 2009. The primary business of the company is to create diversified portfolio of property holdings and achieve rapid growth through the acquisition of additional mineral properties and the Corporation has one wholly owned subsidiary, Kenwest.
